IN CHARGE WHO DOES NOT HAVE ANY RESPONSIBILITY

I wonder why someone is called an "in charge" when they lack social responsibility. A lovely apartment complex ( Mars and Venus Apartments, Ladyhill ) here in Mangalore, with more than a hundred flats, does not have a proper team of committee members to manage the association. One gentleman calls himself an authorized person or an "in charge," yet he shows no social responsibility or public interest. In this ego-driven society, there are people who neither help others nor allow anyone else to help. Those who are clueless about management become managers, and those who lack leadership skills become leaders. The unacceptable fact is that they don’t even let capable people manage or lead. When I had to meet a so-called responsible person to discuss my interest in raising awareness (on tiger conservation and saving nature) and sharing knowledge, I was denied permission to put a small piece of information on the notice board—a notice that wouldn’t cost anyone a thing.  T...

Appreciation for the hard work!

It feels nice when people appreciate you for the hard work and efforts you put in. My passion for tigers led me to conduct a successful program at Creations Summer Camp, Managuda, Mangalore, for a group of 50–75 children, with support from God, my dear husband, and my loving dad and mom. I feel grateful to have known Dr. Gayathri, who referred me to Creations Kids Summer Camp. The Tiger Awareness Program was my first step, followed by a quiz for children aged 9–13, which became my second opportunity. It was fun to conduct the quiz and enjoy time with the children in a new place and a new city. A word of thanks from Mrs. Reshma truly made my day (15-04-15). The efforts, hard work, and passion I poured into the program were appreciated by both the organizer and the parents, making me feel wonderful! This is not the end—it’s just the beginning. I’m looking forward to conducting more successful tiger awareness programs and camps in and around the region very soon. Originally posted on 16-A...

My First Butter Cream Cake!

My first ever cream cake :P Finally, on my 4th attempt, I was able to bake a cake and do buttercream icing on it! Learning to bake a cake seems simple, but when I tried it at home, I had a tough time. It took four attempts to make a soft and spongy vanilla cake. Finally, my hard work paid off—I baked a cake that tasted great and was absolutely yummy! Originally posted on 07-April-2015
